The
new goal in lighting today is low weight and low wattage. Heavyweight fixtures
are out, and lightweight fixtures are in. We are now selling a new Mole
Richardson dedicated 5K PAR. It puts out the same light as a conventional 10K
Fresnel, at a fraction of the weight and size. Interchangeable lenses allow you
to adjust the beam control, and the unit is compatible with all existing 13-inch
accessories.

We
recently used a pair of these new lights for American Idol (Season 5). The L.D. had spec'd for 10k fresnels with crank stands; we suggested
these
smaller and lighter 5k pars. We got the same light output but saved time, power and
effort. The design called for diff frames but these also work nicely with
a Chimera.
